Kids Wont Eat

Kids wont eat? Some kids, well most kids don’t like to eat their dinner let alone any food most of the team. I as a father know this first hand. My own mother said I was the same way in my childhood youth. But I found a few loop holes to help you to make sure your child eats their daily calorie intake for their growing bodies.
Here is something that even I enjoy and the kids love. Mac and cheese. Easy to make and the kids love it. To make it more of a finger for your younger ones who quite haven’t caught a grasp on how to use a spoon properly and prefer to use their 2 fingers. Add some shredded cheddar cheese to help thicken it up to make it easier to grab. For your older youth who I know have the hardest time eating. Add a piece of bacon and crumble it up or add a few bacon bits. Who doesn’t love bacon? Feel free to use regular bacon or turkey bacon.
This one is easy. Try free feeding. In between meals like lunch and dinner. Set a bowl of chexmix, fruit or whatever other snacks you like out in your kitchen or living room that the kids can eat freely whenever they please. That way they can still eat their daily calorie intake and eat something that’s good for them without them even knowing. Us as adults snack throughout the day, why can’t our kids? Just try to avoid too much junk food if your children aren’t that active, which is rare.
Promise treats or dessert after meals to help give them something to look forward to after their meal. Kids can’t resist a good bribe.
Lunchables. Or use your own crackers, cheese and deli meat. This has some really good food kids like. Plus the fact they get to make their own sandwiches stimulates their mind and helps them to get creative.
